When I was about 12 years old, there was a fantastic music magazine out of Detroit called CREEM. This was my bible of the music scene through the “Daze” of the 1970’s, and introduced me to the likes of David Bowie, Alice Cooper, Kiss, and The New York Dolls. I would listen to “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust” and “Diamond Dogs” until the records got destroyed. Yup ... I even had a David Bowie haircut for one day ... then from peer pressure, smartly got the haircut back to a normal style. Thank God I didn’t dye my hair red!
