syd barrettpainting h: " x w: " The founding member of Pink Floyd and writer of their early songs. Went off to never-never-land because of a combination of drugs and mental problems. Roger Waters pretty much summed it up with the his lyric “Come on you raver, you seer of visions, come on you painter, You piper, you prisoner, and shine!” This painting was inspired by images of the young and energetic Syd combined with the older and reclusive Syd of later years. I wanted to show both sides of this great artist and founder of one of my all time favorite bands. |
